Table for the Last Supper
Dries van Wagenberg was invited to design the table for the exhibition and dinner event "the Last Supper". The design for the table reflects his opinion that everybody should be able to join if there were to be something as a last supper. That's why he designed a table that can be extended endlessly. The single table that stood at the beginning of the week grew to an amazing 10 meter long for the final dinner event at the end of the week.
The oak tabletops and solid concrete legs remind us somewhat of a cloister table at which we are joined in a spiritual act of eating, drinking and human contact for the time of a meal.
